Hi Dave: I found your program Product Key on the internet via a Google search. I purchased the Microsoft program Windows Live OneCare at Best Buy. However, Microsoft was providing a 90 day trial of it, so I downloaded it and used it for the 90 days before opening the package;. Like a dummy, I opened the package and discarded the packaging itself and didn’t realize the product key was on it, and when I started to install the program, I was asked for the product key, but by that time the package was in landfill heaven. So, I guess you know what my problem is. Do you have any ideas as to how I can recover the product key from the installation CD? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks,
Chuck

Hi Chuck,
I’m sorry to hear your license is already on the way to the landfill. The keys are not stored on the disk anywhere, and since it’s not alreayd installed anywhere there’s nothing I or anyone else can do to help you.
All that you’ll be able to do is contact Microsoft, explain what has happened and provide them with as much proof of purchase information as you can.

Can you find the product key information for Window 2007 Vista? I used the product key provided through your other program but it did not work.

Sophia,
It should already find the vista key. Can I make sure you’re just trying to recover the key after installation rather than use it to try and generate a key?

Can you find the product key for Office 2007? I need to repair/reinstall WORD and the key that I copied from the package after I initally installed Office and before I discarded the package seems to be incorrect.

Jerry,
Yea, it should already pick up your Office 2007 key from your installation.

Narendra,
Alas, there’s nothing I can do. That indicates you’ve not entered one yet and all my utility does it retreives the key from your system.
Your best bet is to try entering the key which is on the product packaging, or give whoever you purchased it from a call.

Hi Rick,
How weird - not ever seen that before. I don’t have a vista install to test with. If you can do the following I’ll see if I can help.
- Click Start;
- Click Run
- Type ‘regedit’ and hit enter
- Expand the tree menu in the left until HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\
is selected.
- Click File -> Export and save the file when prompted.
- Zip up that file (Right click, sent-to compressed zip file)
- E-mail that to dave at davehope dot co dot uk

Hi Abigail,
It sounds like you just have a trial of office, not the full version. I’m afraid there’s nothing you can do, you’ll need to get in touch with whoever you bought your computer from and see if you can buy a license from them.

Greetings,
Any chance you can make it look for my Adobe CS key?
Thanks
